West End Soundwaves
West End Soundwaves is a monthly ecstatic dance offering focused on conscious movement, community connection, and a more gentle, accessible sound experience.
The Vision
Overview
Ecstatic Dance is a free-form movement journey—an opportunity to connect with yourself, with others, and with the music in an open, supportive space. There are no steps to follow and no right or wrong way to move. You are invited to listen inwardly and allow your body to guide you. This is a welcoming, inclusive, and family-friendly space for authentic expression, connection, and embodied release through music and movement.
Each session is a wave-style musical journey, gradually building in energy and then softening, supporting a range of expression—from gentle presence to full, joyful release.
The atmosphere will be intentionally curated to support a gentler, more accessible sound environment, particularly for those who benefit from lower sensory intensity, while still maintaining the depth and catharsis of an ecstatic dance journey.
Schedule & Rollout Plan
Dates: Saturday, June 13th, July 11th, Sept. 12th & 26th, 2026
Initial Frequency: Once per month to start & maybe twice per month once established
Ongoing Schedule: Second Saturday of each month and hopefully the 4th later on.
Time: 7PM – 9 PM (2 hours) to start…. Possibly starting earlier or finishing later in the future for some community connection before or after. Times may vary slightly until we are fully established with our venue. If you have any questions, please see “Contact” on this site. and send us a message.

Consent in Movement:
• Invite connection through proximity, eye contact, smiling, or mirroring movement.
• Positive responses may include smiling back, maintaining eye contact, moving closer, or shared movement.
• If someone turns away, avoids eye contact, or seems unsure, treat it as a no.
• If uncertain, it is a no.
• You can end a dance at any time—no explanation needed. Simply move away or disengage.
• You may say no & or no thank you if you wish, but it is not required. You may bow out as well if you like.
• For support, connect with Sylvie, Bruce, or a designated person introduced at the start.

Waiver
To save time upon arrival, you may read and/or “sign” the waiver in advance. Blank waivers will be available at the door. Complete the waver below or read prior and sign at the event.

Suggested contribution: $15–$25
